The SC refused to entertain a petition seeking a CBI inquiry into the alleged excesses by the UP govt against protesting farmers.

The SC on Monday refused to entertain a petition seeking a CBI inquiry into the alleged excesses by the UP govt against protesting farmers.

The Bench pointed out that it would not be proper for the apex court to entertain the petition since various human rights organisations were also investigating the alleged excesses.
