Bihar Deputy Collector held for raping his daughter

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said that the officials wife brought her daughter to the police to lodge the complaint. The girl said she picked up the courage to lodge the case against her father after gaining support of her mother.

The police said the medical examination of the girl suggested rape. But we are going for forensic examination to get conclusive report, said SSP Maharaj.

The Deputy Collector,however,denied the allegation of rape and instead accused his wife of harbouring ill-will against him over some family matter.
