Bihar SHOs to face murder charge for ‘torture death’

A 40-year-old man,who was arrested in connection with a kidnapping case in Jamui a fortnight ago,died Monday at Patna Medical College and Hospital where he was admitted after alleged police torture four days ago. The police headquarters Tuesday shifted Jamui SP and suspended station house officers of Jamui and Giddhore and ordered their immediate arrest. Munger Deputy Inspector General of Police has been investigating the matter.
A senior police officer said the two SHOs,Jitendra Kumar and Satyavrata Bharati,would face murder charges.
