Its quite an uphill task for Bollywood actors to achieve a well-toned body for their films. Heres looking at how they do it.
The Dirty Picture
Vidya Balan is rumoured to have gained weight for her role based on sex siren Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture. A strict vegetarian,the actor increased her intake of carbohydrates,followed a vegan diet and hit the gym regularly.
Agneepath and Krrish 3
Hrithik Roshan,who needs to lose weight for Krrish 3,has been following a strict diet. The actor eats small meals every two hours,consumes fewer carbohydrates and has at least 14 eggs a day. Hrithik has been working out for two hours on a daily basis and plans to add an extra hour to his workout regime when the film goes on floor.
Ra.One
For the forthcoming sci-fi Arjun Rampal used to workout regularly. He followed a strict diet low on carbohydrates and would ride a bicycle everyday from his Bandra residence to Film City,Goregaon where the movie was being shot.
Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani
The actor has been hitting the gym regularly for Ayan Mukerji’s forthcoming film in which she stars opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
Padukones role requires her to be ultra glamorous something along the lines of Urmila Matondkars look in Rangeela. Rather than digging into the oily food that is available on the sets,the former model eats only home-made food like dal,roti,sabzi,raita and salad.

Dhoom 3
Junior Bachchan plans to sport six-pack abs for his role in Dhoom 3. To achieve the look,the actor has been training hard and works out for a few hours everyday. His diet consists of eating healthy food filled with proteins and carbohydrates and consumes small meals every two hours.
Vivek Oberoi
Krrish 3
Vivek Oberoi has been hitting the gym twice a day to get fit for his role in Krrish 3. His workout regime consists of two hours of training as he needs to beef up for the role. As a vegetarian,Oberoi does not consume eggs but the actor has been having protein shakes and supplements regularly.
Lara Dutta

In Don 2,Lara,who hoped to achieve a look similar to the one she sported in Blue,trained under instructor Zarine Watson and took yoga lessons. Her fitness schedule included five days of swimming (two hours everyday) along with weight training four times a week,combined with gravity training and cardio. A strict vegetarian,she made sure that she ate a lot of raw fruits and vegetables and drank lots of water.
Genelia DSouza
Force
During the shooting of Force,Genelia DSouza got into shape by running for an hour everyday.
During the shoots,the actor used to workout with John Abraham,who egged her on to look fit for the role.
The actor also followed a healthy diet with minimum carbohydrates.
Agneepath
Sanjay Dutt took the help of good
friends Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan to beef up for his role of Kancha Cheena in Agneepath. While Khan made a diet and exercise plan for the actor,Devgn inspired him to hit the gym during the shooting of Rascals. Dutt also worked out for two hours everyday with co-star Hrithik Roshan.
