BREAKING barriers

This marriage scene starts off the film where Deepika attends Imran’s sister’s wedding. It is a romantic sequence that defines and shows their equation and chemistry.

It is very interesting as the audience will see Imran for the first time in an Indian avatar! Everyone on the sets,including Deepika,was amused when Imran emerged from his make-up room with a pagdi. It was very new for him but he carried it off very well. We did not have a shaadi song but some quaint moments like these.

Taking a ride

This shot of Imran carrying Deepika symbolises the entire film and we have used it on the CD cover and the poster of Bread Ke Baad.

It was shot in an apartment that is Deepika’s house in the film. She is supposedly drunk in the scene and Imran’s carries her safely into her house. Shooting the scene was a lot of fun as many thought that Imran would have a problem carrying Deepika. but he managed very well!

There was a joke on the sets that Deepika carried Imran instead of him carrying her. This came on Twitter and became a popular reference point.

Cosying up

This is one of the most romantic scenes in the film as Deepika and Imran meet after a long time and are enjoying a cosy moment. If I talk too much I will reveal the twist in the film,but it is really a beautiful moment and part of the film where both are looking stunning. It comes in the later part of the film was shot in various locales in Mauritius.
