New Delhi: HDFCs Managing Director Renu Sud Karnad on Wednesday said interest rates have peaked and there is little possibility of further rate hike. I think interest rates have almost reached peak, Karnad said after launching women exclusive credit cards of HDFC Bank here.

Govt to retain its stake in Balco for now

New Delhi: An Empowered Group of Ministers has decided to maintain status quo with regard to governments remaining 49 per cent stake in aluminium maker Balco. According to sources,Vedanta chief Anil Agarwal had written a letter to the Prime Minister on July 4 regarding the govts residual stake.

Indo-US CEO forum asked for FDI in retail: Govt

New Delhi: The government has said it received a recommendation from the Indo-US CEO forum to open up the retail sector for foreign investment. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha,MoS for Commerce and Industry Jyotiraditya Scindia quoted the forum as having recommended enhancing of Indian FDI policy reforms through further opening up of key sectors to foreign investors.
