BRT stretch in S Delhi to come back to original mode

Private cars,two-wheelers and other vehicles were allowed to ply on the bus lanes since May 14 as part of a study conducted Central Road Research Institute (CRRI). The CRRI was tasked by the Delhi High Court to study traffic pattern on the stretch.

The stretch from Ambedkar Nagar to Moolchand will revert to its original mode from midnight tonight,said a senior official of Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System Ltd,which maintains the corridor.

The official said a few changes have been made in the traffic movement pattern at Chirag Delhi and Siri Fort to enable smooth flow of traffic.

As per CRRI,movement of traffic improved when other vehicles were allowed to ply on the bus lanes.
