The India-Pak border at Attari has been put on high alert and additional forces deployed around the Integrated Check Post after the BSF on Tuesday received intelligence inputs that three persons tried to launch a rocket on the Indian side

The India-Pak border at Attari has been put on high alert and additional forces deployed around the Integrated Check Post after the BSF on Tuesday received intelligence inputs that three persons tried to launch a rocket on the Indian side on the night of July 21.

This comes days after the intelligence agencies sounded another alert that there could be an attack from Pakistan’s side during the retreat ceremony held everyday at Wagah.

“We had stepped up vigil along the border as we received Intelligence inputs that some terrorist group in Pakistan was planning an attack. We have asked the Pakistan Rangers to be on a vigil,” said a BSF source.

As per the intelligence inputs,an iron girder (which BSF believe could have been a launching pad),a rocket (containing explosives) and a battery were recovered from village Dial, around four km from the Wagah border.
