Former Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa,who was arrested on October 15 and sent to judicial custody,will spend Diwali in prison with a special Lok Ayukta court further extending his custody till November 3 on Saturday. The BJP leaders application for bail is still in the process of being heard. Following two days of arguments last week by his lawyers,it is scheduled to be taken up on Monday for arguments against granting bail by the complainants advocates. Yeddyurappas advocate Jayakumar Patil had on Friday sought Yeddyurappas bail for three days to allow him to spend Diwali with his family but was opposed by advocates for Sirajin Basha,the advocate who has filed corruption cases against the former chief minister.
