Anjana Sukhani can browse through a book anytime anywhere. “I love to cook and travel. But given a choice,I’d rather lie on the couch and read.”

One might find management and finance books as extremely boring but not Sukhani. She says,“As an MBA,I enjoyed reading books on finance and management. But now I’m more into fiction and self-help books.” While most of her friends love to shop for clothes and shoes,the pretty actress prefers to spend the weekend shopping for novels! “I always buy them in bulk,” she confesses. Sukhani,who recently finished reading Deepak Chopra’s Buddha: A Story Of Enlightenment— that throws light on Gautam Buddha’s journey,talks about her five favourite novels.

This book tops my list. It’s been a while since I read it. It is Afghan author Khaled Hosseini’s second novel following his 2003 best-seller The Kite Runner. I loved the narrative that chronicles the trials and tribulations of a family.
