Cabinet likely to clear Womens Bill without changes today

Reaffirming the UPA’s stand in favour of the Women’s Reservation Bill in its present form proposing 33 per cent quota in Parliament and state legislatures,the Cabinet on Thursday is likely to give its approval to the draft legislation without any significant amendments. The Cabinet’s approval will pave the way for the introduction of the Bill in the Lok Sabha.
