Expanding its probe into the coal block allocation scam,the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) on Friday registered another preliminary enquiry (PE) against unknown people for allocation of coal blocks to joint venture companies formed after allocation to Central and state government PSUs.
This is the third PE registered by the CBI in its ongoing probe in the coal block allocation scam and will probe allocation from 1993 onwards till date. It has also sought details of the companies and state PSUs,which were awarded these coal blocks.
