Chhapra school principal undergoes polygraph test

Devi,the main accused who pleaded innocence,had to undergo the test after a Special Investigation Team got permission from a local court. Her husband,Arjun Yadav,whose custodial interrogation is permitted by the court,is absconding. Yadav,however,is not an accused in the case.

Sources said Devi told interrogators she had no knowledge of pesticide making way to the midday meal served on July 16. Police investigation suggested organophosphorous that was traced to Meena Devi’s house. “The only thing to establish is if mixing of pesticide with mustard oil was intentional or not,” said a source.
