China’s main stock index closed up 0.7 per cent on Friday supported by selective buying of metal and steel companies,keeping the index above the key 3,000-point level.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ended at 3,030.0 points,its highest level since Nov. 1 1 and following a 0.2 per cent rise on Thursday. It rose 2.1 per cent for the week.
