Mumbai-based designer and stylist Manish Malhotra will be opening the lavish celebration that Delhi Couture Week promises to be. Scheduled to begin in the Capital on August 8 a day after the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai draws to a close the event will feature bridal fashion in a big way. Malhotras line,for one,promises to take a modern look at classic Indian couture,including silhouettes such as long kurtas and lehengas. He will also be showing a short film about the concept and story of his collection. The three-minute film has been directed by the designer himself.
