The ten-member team of the Opposition Congress Legislature Party,which set out on a fact-finding mission to Tadmetla village in South Bastar to inquire about the recent violent incidents,could not reach the village as the police detained them citing security reasons.
A group of tribal villagers,meanwhile,continued their protest against outsiders visiting the area where houses were set on fire during a police-Maoist encounter between March 11-14.
A group threw stones at the vehicle of Bastar divisional commissioner K Sriniwasalu and Dantewadas collector in-charge P Dayanand at Pollampalli. There was no trouble as such. It was a minor incident, Sriniwasalu said.
Meanwhile,Sukma police registered cases against four Salwa Judum activists and 40 others in connection with Saturdays assault on Agnivesh and media personnel on a complaint lodged by Sukma Additional SP D S Marawi.
