Abid Hussain,a suspect in the Delhi High Court blast case who was arrested by the NIA,was on Wednesday sent to judicial custody by a special court.
Special NIA Judge HS Sharma sent Hussain to judicial custody till October 7 after the agency officials said they no longer needed him for custodial interrogation.
During the in-camera hearing,the NIA also moved an application,seeking to record Hussains statement separately before a magistrate under section 164 of the CrPC.
Hussain reportedly told the court that he did not need the services of a lawyer. He is also reported to have said that he was not a juvenile as the official records said,and that he was born in 1994,though he did not know the date and month.
Meanwhile,Hussains co-accused Amir Abbas Devs police custody will expire on October 7.
