BJPs rebel leaders, who had earlier formed the Bhrashtachar Mukti Morcha,an anti-graft front, quit the party on Wednesday to form a political group aimed at ousting the corrupt BJP regime. This is likely to be a setback for the party as Himachal Pradesh is slated to go to polls by the end of this year.
Maheshwar Singh,a four-time MP who led the rebellion, said: We are saying goodbye to the party with a heavy heart and regret that the high command has become a party to corrupt deals. There are glaring examples of corruption and misuse of power by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his ministers.
Singh told the media here that they will soon announce the formation of a new political party and deliberations with district leaders and supporters were already underway over naming the party.
