Digvijay rules out mid-term polls

Congress leader Digvijay Singh ruled out the possibility of mid-term polls.

Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Friday ruled out the possibility of mid-term polls even if the Opposition resorts to disrupting the Parliament in the Budget session on JPC probe demand. “Is it (forcing mid-term polls by boycotting Parliament) possible in a functional democracy? They don’t have people’s mandate,we have people’s mandate,” Singh said. Incidentally,Singh’s remarks came even though he is not part of 18-member team the Congress has authorised to speak to the media.
