Distraught son skips exam

Devendra Kumar Tiwari,son of slain CRPF Sub-Inspector Brijesh Kumar Tiwari,skipped his examination on Thursday to attended the cremation of his father in Bhujawan Tiwari ka Purwa village of Ambedkarnagar. On Wednesday,at Lucknow Airport,he had declared he won’t go for his father’s funeral as during their last conversation they had talked about his preparations for the examinations.

“He always wanted us to do well in studies,” said Devendra. “The memories of my father kept flashing in my mind all through the night. Not even his encouraging words,that he used to say to us often,could help,” Devendra said with a choked voice soon after the last rites. “Though I wanted to appear for the exams,as my father would have wished,I could not help but stand by him on his last journey,” added Devendra,a student of B.Com first-year at Jai Narayan Post Graduate College,Lucknow.
