Dutch student ‘raped’ in Mumbai

In her statement,the victim said she came to the city about a fortnight back. On Christmas night,she had gone to a friend’s house in Vasai. At about 1 am on Monday,the victim,accompanied by a male friend,took an auto-rickshaw to Mulund.

The victim told the police that after her friend got off,the driver allowed another man to sit beside him. The auto-rickshaw then headed for a secluded spot behind Vanrai police station where she was raped. Her purse,cellphone and passport were also stolen,she said.
