A Faizabad court on Wednesday sentenced former BSP MP Mitrasen Yadav to seven years rigorous imprisonment in a case of embezzlement. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Anil Shukla also imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on Mitrasen. Mitrasen,against whom non-bailable warrant was issued for not appearing before the court even when held guilty,reached the court premises with his supporters. He was taken in custody by the police and after pronouncement of the sentence sent to jail. Mitrasen is a Samajwadi Party candidate for Assembly polls from Bikapur constituency in Faizabad. Will seek legal view on verdict: Badal CM Parkash Singh Badal said on Wednesday the issue of validity of the newly elected general house of the SGPC in light of Punjab and Haryana HC order resorting voting rights to Sehajdhari Sikhs,is sensitive and SAD was taking legal opinion on it.
