Excel Home Entertainment releases extended version of Avatar

With three versions of the film,fans will get an all-new extended cut of the film,in addition to hours of never-before-seen material including over 45 minutes of amazing deleted scenes.

It’s almost a year to the release of Avatar and fans have something to cheer about. Excel Home Entertainment has released a three-disc Avatar Extended Collector’s Edition Blu-ray and Avatar Collector’s Edition DVD that features the original theatrical release,a special edition re-release,and new collector’s extended cut with sixteen more minutes including an exclusive alternate opening earth scene.

Capturing Avatar is an in-depth feature length documentary covering the 16-year filmmaker journey that includes all new interviews with James Cameron,Jon Landau and cast and crew exploring Cameron’s unique vision for the film now seen by more than 310 million people worldwide. With three versions of the film,fans will get an all-new extended cut of the film,in addition to hours of never-before-seen material including over 45 minutes of amazing deleted scenes. Viewers can experience the full film in three stages of production: Performance Capture,Template and Final as well as a composite of all stages in Pandora’s Box. The DVD set is priced at Rs 599 while the Blu-ray disc is priced at Rs 1499. A steel book cover is also available for Blu-ray disc buyers priced at Rs 1999.

The Sound Of Music commemorates 45 years

Excel Home Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment have come out with an anniversary edition gift set DVD and the film’s maiden release on Blu-ray with The Sound Of Music on the film’s 45th anniversary.

The gift set includes two Blu-ray discs and a DVD with other memorabilia. The Sound Of Music is credited with being one of the most widely seen movies in the history of Hollywood. The 1965 Academy Award winning film starred Julie Andrews,Christopher Plummer and was directed by Robert Wise,who also grabbed the Oscar for Best Direction. It became the highest grossing film of all time in December 1965.

The Sound Of Music 45th Anniversary Edition Gift set includes a 100-Page My Favorite Things scrapbook,snapshots from Salzburg,reproduction of the original 1965 souvenir program and an exclusive My Favorite Things music box with a letter of authenticity while the DVD edition includes The Sound Of Music Tour – A Living Story,a play film and a music machine with sing-along feature. The Sound Of Music Anniversary Edition Gift Set,Blu-Ray and DVD is available at all leading stores for Rs 2999,Rs 1299 and Rs 499 respectively.
