The CPIs succession plan,formulated last year when the party elevated S Sudhakar Reddy as the deputy general secretary,is finally being put into action. Reddy has moved to the Capital after his defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. He will now share responsibilities with general secretary A B Bardhan,much to the dismay of some senior leaders considered close to the latter. Whether this indicates that the ageing CPI patriarch is being edged out is a subject of much curiosity now.
