Terming Hurriyat hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelanis autobiography,Wular Kinaray (On the banks of Wular),as a distortion of history,the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has questioned the veracity of certain incidents described in the book.
The author has written many fabricated things about the JKLF,Muslim United Front,Sofi Mohammad Akbar,Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone and even about peoples revolution in 1990 that was initiated by the JKLF…Distorting history… cannot be termed but a deliberate attempt to deceive people for petty benefits, said the partys written statement.
The militant-turned-political outfit has sought a revision of the book. The worthy writer has distorted many historical facts in his book and has tried to hide or malign many people,some of whom are no more,and hence unable to defend themselves. This fabrication and distortion of history needs immediate rectifications so that historical facts are safeguarded and put in the right perspective before the nation, the JKLF statement added.
