Gur prices gained by Rs 11.40 or 1.23 per cent to Rs 941.60 per 40 kg,in futures trade today after paucity of stocks and poor supply in markets.

Marketmen said,aggressive buying by traders on the back of pick up in demand among retailers against restricted supply in physical markets,led to a rise further in gur prices here in futures trade.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) counter,gur delivery for September contract shot up by Rs 11.40 or 1.23 per cent to Rs 941.60 per 40 kg,with an open interest of 5,660 lots.

July-month contract too remained in demand and rose by Rs 10.60 or 1.12 per cent to Rs 960.20 per 40 kg,depicting an open interest of 17,450 lots.
