Hafiz on tape,Masood on phone to address Srinagar meet

LeT founder Hafiz Saeed,JeM chief Masood Azhar and Hizb supremo Syed Salahuddin will address a seminar on the 'Kashmir issue' in Srinagar on Wednesday.

Lashkar-e-Toiba founder Hafiz Saeed,Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Masood Azhar and Hizbul Mujahideen supremo Syed Salahuddin will address a seminar on the Kashmir issue in Srinagar on Wednesday,say organisers.

The seminar is being organised by a little known body called Human Rights Forum. Its leader,Muhammad Ahsan Antoo,spent five years in prison before being released in 2009.

The chairmen of both factions of the Hurriyat,Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Ali Shah Geelani,have been invited to the seminar,titled Role of pro-freedom leaders vis-a-vis Kashmir issue.

The participation of Saeed,Azhar and Salahuddin has been kept mostly under wraps. Azhar and Salahuddin will address the seminar by phone,the organisers said.

Antoo said he has already received an audiotape of Saeeds address,which would be played at the seminar. In the tape, Saeed draws a parallel between the struggles in Afghanistan and Kashmir,and seeks their simultaneous resolution.
