While tradition is the hallmark of Ramzan in Hyderabad,an element of modernity has seeped in in an age where everyone is on the run and time is short. So,Pista House,a chain of take-away eateries serving haleem and sweets in the city,opened 100 outlets before Ramzan and another 106 during the last 10 days. Earlier,it had 50 outlets. In keeping with the demand from families who dont prepare the iftaar and would rather order it from outside,Pista House launched special haleem packages this Ramzan and has made good sales,proprietor Majid Mohammed tells us. The order is placed a day in advance. Other well-known food chains,Shah Ghouse and Paradise Biryani,witness long queues every evening for take-aways too.
