Hero MotoCorp Q1 net profit up 10%

Hero MotoCorp reported an increase of 10.31 per cent in net profit at Rs 615.46 crore.

Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today reported an increase of 10.31 per cent in net profit at Rs 615.46 crore for the quarter ended June 30,2012.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs Rs 557.89 crore in the same period a year-ago,Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.

Income from operations during the first quarter of this fiscal stood at Rs 6,207.78 crore against Rs 5,637.64 crore in the year-ago period,it said.

During the period under review,the company’s sales stood at 16,42,292 units.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 2,100,down 0.78 per cent.
