Hong Kong stocks end up 0.38%

Hong Kong stocks rose for a sixth successive session on Wednesday adding 0.38 per cent.

Hong Kong stocks rose for a sixth successive session on Wednesday as a rally in local property developers and index heavyweight HSBC Holdings Plc offset a broad weakness in resources counters.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index closed up 0.38 per cent at 23,757.82 on strong volume as a 2.4 per cent rise in HSBC helped the index shrug off a weak day on mainland bourses.
