A day after visiting Union Home Minister P Chidambaram asked Pakistan to hunt down and prosecute the 26/11 accused,and expressed hope that it would address the issue with the seriousness it deserves,Islamabad on Sunday termed as presumptuous Delhis contention that enough was not being done in the Mumbai attacks case.

In an interview to PTI,Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi pressed for a common approach to deal with terrorism and promised to take action against any handler of 26/11,insisting that Islamabad will not sleep over leads forwarded to it. With India raising questions over the speed of trial in Pakistan in 26/11,Qureshi said the pace was slow because of complications as the crime was committed in a different country and exchange of information was a cumbersome process. If you say Pakistan has not moved,it will be unfair, Qureshi said. Do not question our sincerity. We want to move on because terrorism is hitting us as well.

On Indias complaints that Pakistan is not taking action against Mumbai attacks mastermind and JuD chief Hafiz Saeed and that other identified handlers continue to be at large,Qureshi said: This is being presumptuous… You are presuming because we are not in contact.

Saying that India and Pakistan would understand each others difficulties only through engagement,he said both should work together to send out a message to terrorists that they cannot drive a wedge between the two countries. Malik tweets: PC very intelligent & capable

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has tweeted,describing his Indian counterpart P Chidambaram as a very intelligent and capable leader.

I found Mr. Chidambaram a very intelligent & capable leader, the minister wrote on his Twitter account after his much-awaited encounter with Chidambaram,the first Indian Minister to visit Pakistan after Mumbai terror attacks in 2008.

Malik,who had a series of meetings with Chidambaram on Friday and Saturday,wrote,We shared thoughts of friendship in the meeting. I feel it is time for exchange of hearts & not dossiers,between Pak and India.

Malik has nearly 3,000 followers of his account.
