Indigo starts Ch-Mumbai direct flights

IndiGo today announced Chandigarh as its new destination and it will operate two new daily direct flights between Chandigarh and Mumbai and flights to Goa and Ahmedabad via Mumbai effective September 10.

Aditya Ghosh,President,IndiGo who unveiled airlines expansion plans outlined for Chandigarh claimed that these new services will further consolidate IndiGos position as the fastest growing airline in India,with its 373 flights connecting 33 destinations across the nation. Both corporate and leisure customers travelling from Chandigarh will now have the opportunity to experience the hassle-free,on-time performance that IndiGo is synonymous with.

Speaking on the launch of Chandigarh as a new destination,Aditya Ghosh said that We are very excited about IndiGos entry into Chandigarh. Chandigarh holds a lot of promise for us at IndiGo and indeed is a key market for the airline. These new flights connecting Chandigarh with Mumbai,Goa and Ahmadabad will indeed enable enhanced connectivity for 6E passengers. In addition,we are also looking at the connectivity between Bangalore and Chandīgarh in near future.

Maintaining its trajectory growth in the domestic skies,IndiGo emerged Indias largest carrier with 27 percent market share,July as per the DGCA data,Ghosh added.
