A day before the State Board of School Education in Jammu and Kashmir was to declare the Class X examination results,it was found leaked. Early on Tuesday morning,a link to the State Board results was available on the Facebook page,Frontline Kashmir, which is,incidentally,a pro-stonepelters page with a profile picture of jailed Hurriyat leader Masarat Alam.

The link provided results to the students even as it was unavailable on the Board’s official website. As news spread, thousands of students logged on,but the link was snapped around 11 am. A few hours later, another link appeared on Facebook, only to be snapped minutes later. The Board is investigating the identity of the person who provided the link.

Commissioner Secretary Naseema Lanker, the officiating chairperson of the Board, said,“We have uploaded the results,” When told the results were available on the internet for more than six hours,Lanker said,“I don’t know anything about it.”
