The Madhya Pradesh Police are likely to question Malegoan blast case accused Pragya Singh Thakur in connection with her mysterious visit to former RSS pracharak Sunil Joshis house after his murder.
The sadhvi had taken away a briefcase from Joshi’s house in Vikasnagar locality of Dewas on the night of December 29,2007 without telling his family members that he had been killed.
Joshi’s 19-year-old niece Chanchal had told The Indian Express last week that Pragya Didi had hurriedly left with a briefcase but she was not aware what it contained.
We had never been told this before but now that we know about Pragya Singhs visit we may question her about it, Dewas SP S P Singh told The Indian Express.
The police said everybody knew that she was a regular visitor to Dewas and was seen near Joshi’s body in the hospital.
Singh said the police can either question her with court’s permission in jail or seek production remand and bring her to Dewas. However, before that the police will first record the statement of Chanchal, who was 16 when the incident took place.
The Dewas police had last month said that Joshi, the alleged mastermind of several acts of Hindu terror, was killed by his own men because he did not treat his accomplices well. Though nobody bought the theory of the MP police they are still sticking to it. But more than a month after the arrests of Harshad Solanki,Anand Raj Kataria and Vasudev Parmar, the investigations have not made any further progress.
The police have announced a reward of Rs 15,000 each on the heads of two absconding accused who are also wanted in the Best Bakery case of Gujarat.
