Maoists kill headmaster in Jharkhand
SARAIKELA: Suspected Maoists gunned down a government school headmaster at Chandni Chowk in Saraikela-Kharswan district,police said on Saturday. The victim,Indra Kumar Sao,was at his grocery shop on Chowka-Kandra Road on Friday,when three motorcycle-borne youths arrived and one of them shot him thrice,they said. Sao was immediately rushed to Tata Main Hospital,Jamshedpur,where doctors declared him dead,they said. A massive search operation has been launched,SP Abhisekh Kumar said. Kumar could not confirm the involvement of two Naxals,who fled from Saraikela jail last Wednesday.
MORIGAON: Three police constables allegedly filmed a live-in student couple after forcing them to strip and sent the video to local media to teach them a lesson,a move which triggered public outrage leading to suspension of the trio in Assams Morigaon district. Following the public outcry,constables Krishna Saikia,Saumeswar Bordoloi and Anupam Saikia were suspended and a departmental inquiry was ordered,police said.

SP on Saturday in presence of party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.Welcoming Singh into party fold,Mulayam said that the former MP left for sometime due to certain differences,but has come back home. Singhs entry would strengthen the party and it will surely form the government after 2012 state Assembly polls, he said.
Britisher booked for sexual abuse
TIRUNELVELI: A 65-year-old British national,funding a childrens home,has been booked for alleged sexual abuse of a teenaged boy inmate,police said on Saturday. A case under IPC section 377 (unnatural sex) was registered on Friday against Jonathan Robinson,who has been absconding since two weeks,a day after the 15-year-old boy was rescued from the home,they said. The boy was handed over to the district Child Welfare Committees reception unit Saranalayam.
