BlackBerry OS 10

RIM unveiled a prototype of the latest version of its operating system: BlackBerry OS 10. This seems to be a make-or-break product for the company struggling to gain a foothold in a market dominated by Android and iOS devices. BlackBerry’s moves look a little desperate, especially since it has guaranteed to pay app developers up to $10,000 in the first year if the app makes it to BlackBerry App World. Finally,RIM has decided to step away from physical buttons. The devices running the OS 10 prototype were all touch-based,even though RIM says it has not abandoned physical buttons just yet.

The phone also allows users to transfer a 10MB music file within two seconds by simply touching another Galaxy S III. It also allows users to watch a video anywhere on the screen while working on another application. That means, you need not pause videos while replying to a message. Galaxy S III is soon to launch in India. Patience is a virtue.

Gear4 Angry Birds Speaker

Angry Birds are everywhere; soft toys, pillows, bags or cushions. The latest in the list are Angry Birds speakers from Gear4. Buyers can choose speakers featuring the red bird, the black bird (with iPod dock) and the poor pig. The speaker is cute and sounds pretty good too. The sound quality is as good as any 2.1 speaker but without a standalone sub-woofer,Angry Birds Speakers lack the baritone. And it would have been better had these Birds been wireless.

LG Cinema 3D Smart TV

LG Electronics India has launched a series of 3D TV sets — CINEMA 3D Smart TV. Ranging from Rs 55,000 to Rs 7 lakh,Cinema 3D Smart TVs features 2D to 3D conversion and also gives users the ability to alter 3D depth for comfortable viewing. Gamers tired of split-screen displays can now breath easy as LG’s Dual Play feature uses 3D glasses to see from the character’s perspective. One screen, two viewpoints. The TV sets have built-in WiDi (Wireless Display) for connectivity to laptops and other devices.
