Congress leader Digvijaya Singh Monday asked yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who has been campaigning on the issue of black money,to disclose his own sources of income. Singh said he agreed with Ramdevs demand that black money deposited in foreign banks should be brought back to the country, but the guru should disclose his source of income which helped him set up a grand ashram at Hardwar in a short time. On way to Fatehpur, the Congress leader made a brief halt at Kanpur circuit house where he spoke to the media. Asked about alleged offensive remarks of Congress MP Ninong Ering against Baba Ramdev,Singh said there was no place for derogatory or foul comment in politics. Singh said the government decision to constitute a joint parliamentary committee to investigate the 2G spectrum case was not a victory of the BJP or the NDA. He said former Telecom Minister A Raja had been arrested and the CBI is investigating the matter. It clearly shows that unlike the NDA government, the UPA is fighting corruption, Singh said and stated that the scams reported in the tenure of NDA government should also be thoroughly probed. The Congress demanded reservation for Muslims in UP. On the pattern of Andhra Pradesh,Kerala and Karnataka, reservation should be given to economically and socially backward Muslims in Uttar Pradesh, he added.
