A man allegedly committed suicide in Indore blaming his decision on a doctor who removed his kidney without his knowledge. A post mortem conducted on Saturday, however, found both his kidneys intact, leaving the police perplexed about the suicide note found on Premchand Pannalal Varma.

The body of Varma, aged between 55 and 60,was found in Indore’s Sikh Mohalla on Friday evening. He was unmarried and occasionally painted to make both ends meet.

In the suicide note,Varma alleged that a man named Dinesh Guru Zanda Singh took him to a doctor for treatment of piles but later realised that one of his kidneys had been removed.

Town Inspector of M G Police Station Dilip Gangrade told The Sunday Express that the post mortem conducted at M Y Hospital revealed that Varma’s kidneys were intact. He said he had found no marks on Varma’s body on Friday.

The police have questioned the persons named in the suicide note but were yet to find anything suspicious.

Gangrade said the police are not even sure if Varma wrote the suicide note or whether it was an attempt to frame the medical practitioner. A relative who identified the deceased as a maternal uncle of his wife claimed that about a month ago Varma did talk of his missing kidney and that he had approached the police who did not entertain his complaint because he had no proof.
