The Lucknow police on Tuesday arrested Vibha Tiwari who,along with her husband BSP MLA Shekhar Tiwari and nine others,was convicted of the murder of PWD engineer Manoj Kumar Gupta earlier this month. The police produced her in a local court,which sent her to jail. The trial court had released Vibha Tiwari on interim bail for 15 days,but the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court declined to grant her regular bail. President of Dibiyapur Nagar Panchayat,Vibha Tiwari was convicted for destruction of evidence and sentenced to imprisonment for two-and-a-half years. All others were sentenced to life imprisonment. We arrested Vibha Tiwari after the trial court issued warrant against her on Monday, said DIG DK Thakur.
