More than 20 Indian cos to participate in FHA2012

Food&HotelAsia2012 is bringing in five specialised trade shows from April 17-20 in Singapore.

Food&HotelAsia2012,along with Wine&SpiritAsia2012 – Asia’s largest food and hospitality trade event – is bringing in five specialised trade shows from April 17-20 in Singapore.

FoodAsia,Bakery&Pastry,HotelAsia,HospitalityStyleAsia and HospitalityTechnology are distinctively tailored to provide industry professionals with direct access to latest products,services and technological solutions,are gearing up to present a strong line-up of exhibitors.

More than 2,600 exhibitors from 65 countries/regions and 52 international group pavilions will be gathered at one convenient location to receive over 54,000 government,business and trade attendees from over 90 countries/regions.

More than 20 Indian companies are expected to participate in the trade event in Singapore this year.

The Indian food and hospitality sectors have emerged as key drivers of the Indian economy,with India emerging as the world’s second largest producer of food,next only to China. As per a study conducted by McKinsey and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII),the turnover of the total food market in India is approximately Rs.250,000crores (US$ 69.4 billion),out of which value-added food products contribute Rs 80,000 crores (US$ 22.2 billion). Additionally,the Indian hospitality industry is expected to grow at an annual rate of 8 per cent between 2007 and 2016.

In such a high-growth scenario,FHA2012 hopes to provide excellent business platforms to address the requirements of Indian buyers looking for international quality products and services; trade partners,and competitive international suppliers.
