Sistema Shyam Teleservices (SSTL),that operates under brand name MTS India,has added over 4.19 lakh new customers during the month of March.
“MTS added 4,19,480,customers in the month of March,2012,taking its total customer base to 15,849,698,” SSTL said in a statement.
The company has been adding new customers despite the Supreme Court cancelling its 21 licences in February. In that month,SSTL added 2,32,557 customers.
On Performance Indicator Report by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India that did not include SSTL’s name among service providers that failed to meet minimum benchmark for Quality of Service parameters,MTS India President and CEO Vsevolod Rozanov said: “For MTS to score very highly on all such parameters (set by Trai for QoS) is truly a reflection of the company¿s commitment to offer world class telecom services to all its current and potential customers across India.”
All service providers except SSTL has failed to meet at least one quality parameter in a service area set by Trai during three months period which ended on December 31,2011.
