Nothing new

Yash Kirtikar is a carefree guy who is always helping the needy and in the bargain gets involved in fights with his other fellow students.

Mission Possible
Yash Kirtikar is a carefree guy who is always helping the needy and in the bargain gets involved in fights with his other fellow students. When he learns of the question paper leak scandal and drug racket inside the college premises,he almost manages to catch the culprit. Things lead to when Yash gets falsely implicated for the death of his girlfriend (Pearl) who is stabbed during a college day function. Yash is arrested and sent to jail. Then begins his search of the killer.
It may be a youth-oriented film but the slow pace lackens its grip on the screenplay. The editing too is choppy. Music by Saii- Piyush is good. Swapna Sha rendered by Swapnil Bandodkar has been picturised very well in the exotic locations of Ladakh. Pushkar Jog directs the film besides acting, writing the story, lyrics and even singing a song. He,however, has a long way to go. The oft-repeated story could have been handled in a different way. There are many twists and turns but they are so predictable that there is no novelty.

Performances also cannot be given due credit except for Saii Tamhankar who is evolving as an actress though she does not have much to do here. She,however, has to be selective if she has to make a mark in films. Niranjan Namjoshi too has done a good job and his different look, complete with spectacles and moustache makes him look matured. The only funny scene or rather dialogue was when the names of the three friends of Yash are taken in one breath and they are called Neil,Nitin and Mukesh.
RATING:
One star for Saii Tamhankar’s acting and one for Pushkar’s enterprising effort.
