With the auction of 3G spectrum proving to be a thumping success raking in a whopping over Rs 67,000 crore for the Government,the pressure was back on Telecom Minister A Raja on Thursday for giving away 2G for a song. The BJP wanted the Prime Minister to break his silence on the corruption charges while the CPM wanted the minister to be shown the door.
Having already demanded the ouster of Raja,the BJP said the corruption and nepotism which the minister is alleged to have indulged in have resulted in a loss of over Rs 50,000 crore to the Government. Why the Prime Minister is not responding to very clear allegations of corruption and nepotism which resulted in such a big scandal? BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman asked.
