Outlook resolves differences with employees

An employee from People magazine,on the condition of anonymity,said,None of the group executives explained anything to us,though they did tweet about it. My editor was informed on the phone that the magazine was being pulled off. For over an year now,our payments have been irregular. Even when this news broke,we were still waiting for our June salary.

The Outlook group,however,says that these issues are a thing of the past. We have settled all differences with the employees and the issue is closed now. All the three magazines are licensing brands and unfortunately they were an unviable business proposition for us. Therefore,we decided to discontinue with the publishing of the international titles and focus with our own brand, said Indranil Roy,president of Outlook group.

When asked if the group is looking for buyers for its flagship magazine Outlook,Roy denied it. The news of selling our business is absolutely wrong. Our promoters are totally committed to the business.

Saira Menezes,editor for People magazine echoed much of what Roy said.

The paragraph should have read: Saira Menezes,editor of People magazine,echoed much of what Roy said in the context of the settlement reached with employees. There has been an amicable settlement following the process of law and the team is satisfied with the outcome. Hence we decided to withdraw the case, she said.

She was not referring to the Outlook licensing brands or their viability or the Outlook magazine.
