Pepper futures prices gained 0.68 per cent on Thursday on paucity of stocks following restricted arrival from producing regions against increased demand.
At the NCDEX,pepper for November contract gained 0.68 per cent to Rs 14,985 per quintal with an open interest in 5,479 lots.
Similarly,the spice for delivery in December contract edged up by 0.58 per cent to Rs 15,170 per quintal with an open interest in 3,909 lots.
Marketmen said restricted arrival from producing region against rising demand in view of the marriage season mainly helped pepper prices to trade higher at futures market.
