Prasthanam,the second movie by director Deva Katta,who had earlier made Vennela,is all set for release. Prasthanam is produced by Vallabhaneni Ravi under the banner of VRC Media and Entertainment.
While it’s Sharvanand and Ruby Parihar who play the lead roles,Vennela Kishore,Sai Kumar and Sandeep Kishan play important roles. The film features music by Mahesh Shankar,who had scored the music for Vennela too. The music,which has already been released,has got good reviews.
Set in Vijaywada against a political backdrop,the movie explores the relationship between politics and human nature.

Kalabhavan Mani plays a teacher in Pallikoodam
Kalabhavan Mani,who has played all kinds of role,gets ready to play a teacher for the first time. This would happen in Pallikoodam,a forthcoming venture of his.
Pallikoodam (meaning school),will be directed by Jayachandran,who makes his debut after having worked with directors like Jayaraj,Shyamaprasad and Sanall. Jayachandran himself pens the story for the film,which will feature script by Satyan Kolangadu. Beeyar Prasad and P.P.Binu pen lyrics which would be set to tune by Shyam Dharman. M.J. Radhakrishnan cranks the camera for the film,which would be produced by R.P. Suresh Kumar under the banner of Bhagyadhara Productions.
Pallikoodam also has in key roles Nedumudi Venu,Jagathy Sreenivasan and Vijayaraghavan. The heroine is yet to be finalised. Shoot will commence in May.

Prabhas getting ready to hit back with Darling
Prabhas is all set to hit back with Darling,in which he teams up with director Karunakaran,who had earlier made Toli Prema and Ullasamga Uthsahamga. The film is produced by BVSN Prasad,who had earlier made the hit film Chattrapati with Prabhas.
The latest buzz is that Darling may hit screens on April 23. Kajal Agarwal plays heroine to Prabhas in this film,which features music by G.V.Prakash. The film is expected to go down well with the audience,especially with youngsters. It maybe recalled that Karunakaran’s Toli Prema and Ullasamga Uthsahamga were hits and also that Prabhas has tremendous fan following among youngsters.

The Mukthas are back
Veteran film personalities Muktha Srinivasan and Muktha Ramaswamy,who had earlier produced several blockbusters under the banner of Muktha Films,are all set to make a comeback.
Muktha Films have combined with greats like Sivaji Ganesan,Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan and had brought out memorable films like Cinema Paithiyam,Thavaputhalvan,Suriyakanthi,Polladhavan,Simla Special,Avan Aval Adhu,Paritchaikku Neramaachu,Kadhanayagan and Nayakan.
The Mukthas have rechristened their production house as Muktha Creations Private Limited. Muktha Srinivasan now joins hands with his brother Ramaswamy’s son Muktha Govind to produce three films. Muktha Creations Private Limited begins by remaking three of Muktha’s earlier ventures- Rajnikanth’s Polladhavan, the Sri Priya-Lakshmi- Sivakumar film Avan Aval Adhu and the Pandiyarajan-S.V.Sekar film Kadhanayagan. Prominent stars are likely to get involved with the projects,which will start shoot soon.

Differences could be solved through discussion: AMMA chief
Days after the Kerala Film Chamber decided to impose curbs on actors and singers taking part in television shows,the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes President Innocent said,in Kochi on April 11,that differences of opinion could be solved through discussion.
The Chamber decided to impose the curbs in view of the “various crises” being faced by the Malayalam film industry. ‘If I react,that might hurt them and it will take time to cure… they are all our friends. I was also once a producer’,Innocent said about the move.
Innocent said that he was hopeful of finding out a “good solution” after holding discussion.
