Rabri Devi dares Nitish to stop Narendra Modi

Rabri said Lalu's conviction and subsequent disqualification as an MP was part of 'larger conspiracy'.

Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi Tuesday dared Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to stop Narendra Modi just as her husband and former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad had stopped L K Advani who was on a yatra to build up Ayodhya movement.

She also accused the Janata Dal (United) of hatching a conspiracy to send her husband to prison.

Rabri Devi said Lalu Prasads conviction and subsequent disqualification as member of Parliament was part of larger conspiracy.

Though She did not name any political party,she said the RJD had been in direct competition with the BJP and the JD(U) did not stand any chance in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

She added Lalu Prasads conviction and disqualification as MP would not affect RJD. He is RJD chief and will remain a hero for the downtrodden as ever, she said.

Earlier,Lok Janshakti Party president Ramvilas Paswan met Rabri Devi and mooted an alliance of secular parties,including the Congress.

Accompanied by son and Lok Janshakti Party parliamentary board chief Chirag Paswan,he visited Rabri Devis official residence. Rabri Devis elder son was present during the meeting.

Later,talking to reporters,Paswan said that the LJPs ties with RJD in Bihar was intact and that he had spoken to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in detail about political situation.
