Imagine TV has brought back its flagship show Ramayan on primetime. The show in its earlier run was instrumental in creating a brand recall for the channel, which within a few weeks of its launch catapulted to the third position. However, with the advent of Colors six months later, the channel was pushed to No.5 and lately has been dislodged from that position also. Known for its distinctive shows like the Swayamvar series and the paranormal show Raaz Pichhale Janam Ka,Imagine has been trying to get back into the top bracket for long. After a series of new launches that include Beend Banunga Ghodi Chadhunga and Looteri Dulhan the channel is falling back on its tried-and-tested show Ramayan. Aired at 7 pm,starting May 16,the one hour serial, the channel hopes will bring back its lost glory. The new Ramayan is re-packaged and re-designed to meet and exceed the audience expectations from this show. There will be additions in terms of new scenes and new songs and we are adding more pace to the show to meet the sensibilities of todays dynamic audience. We are happy to start our primetime slot with the mesmeric story of Ramayan, says Saurabh Tewari, the Programming Head. Buzz is that after their big-ticket show Ratan Ka Rishta,Imagine TV is all set to launch two new shows Preeto and Dwarkadish. While Dwarkadish,as the name suggests,is based on Lord Krishna, tracing his life as a teenager and post- Mahabharat,Preeto is said to be on the lines of Pride And Prejudice.
