RCom doesn’t deny Etisalat’s $3.8 bn offer

Reliance Com said it has been receiving proposals from time to time from international telecom companies.

Reliance Communications said on Wednesday it has been receiving proposals from time to time from international telecom companies expressing interest in acquiring a strategic equity stake in it.

The company evaluates such proposals,in line with the company’s policy to constantly endeavour to enhance overall shareholder value,the No. 2 Indian telecoms firm said in a statement to the stock exchange.

Earlier,a newspaper report said Abu Dhabi’s Etisalat was in advanced talks to buy a quarter of Reliance Communications for 180 billion rupees ($3.8 billion).
