Redington shares up on contract wins

Shares of Redington India rose nearly 3% outperforming weak broad market.

Shares of Redington India rose nearly 3 percent outperforming weak broad market after the company said it won two large distribution contracts,two dealers said.

A top company official said on Wednesday that it won a contract from Dell Inc to supply laptops in the country.

Later the company said Polycom Inc appointed Redington to distribute its audio and video conferencing systems.

At 9.27 a.m.,the stock was up 1.6 percent at 95.25 rupees.
